Experience is Key for a well-rounded Child

Make learning a natural part of your daily life with your child. Be mindful of all the opportunities around you. Turn everyday events into fun contests and challenges to encourage him to be curious. Some examples:

  • Ask him to repeat words after you, and point out the corresponding objects, colours or shapes.
  • Encourage conversation by using open-ended and follow-up questions.
  • Improve your child’s memory and attention by playing repetitive games.
  • Guide his interests into new things and places: if he loves the outdoors, put together a wooden box for himwith little plants to water and grow.

Whenever he completes a task, remember to praise your child. Praise him by telling him how responsible he is for doing his assigned chores. This will guide him to understand responsibility and see that he has a meaningful role in the family.
